Marinna earned her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Connecticut in 2025. During her undergraduate career, Marinna interned at BADCO Labs at the University of Connecticut, which focused on describing the etiology, development, outcomes, and treatment efforts related to behavioral disorders. She also volunteered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness as a mental health helpline operator. During her graduate career, Marinna's first year internship was with Community Mental Health Affiliates, both with the Mobile Crisis Team and the outpatient program, where she responded to mental health crises in the community and facilitated group sessions addressing trauma and substance use. Her second year internship was here at Pinnacle Behavioral Health, co-facilitating in the high school program. During this time, Marinna became interested in being part of this level of care and discovered her appreciation for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Marinna is passionate about supporting the wellbeing of youth and their families.
