Alex Feliciano, MSW, LMSW  ~  Counselor

Alexandra obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work from Central Connecticut State University in 2019 and received a master’s degree in social work from Smith College School for Social Work. During her undergraduate program Alexandra completed many internships in diverse settings including Manchester Youth Services Bureau, MacDougall-Walker Correctional Facility, St. Francis Hospital, and the Department of Children and Families. While in these placements Alexandra found an interest in working with youth of all ages. As an intern Alexandra’s role differed in each placement which included completing assessments, facilitating domestic violence groups, girl’s empowerment groups, and providing children and families with case management.

During her graduate career, Alexandra completed a yearlong internship at the Institute of Living Young Adults Program working with young adults (18-26) with dual diagnosis including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, self-destructive behaviors, and psychosis. Throughout her master’s program Alexandra decided to pursue a career working with children to gain more experience and knowledge at the Village for Children and Families. Alexandra worked as an SFIT Youth Counselor at the Village where she facilitated DBT groups, implemented these skills during crisis situations, and provided the children with support and guidance during the course of their 2 week stay in the program. Alexandra enjoyed facilitating groups and building strong relationships with youth. Alexandra graduated with her MSW in 2019 and quickly became licensed with her LMSW and began working as a mobile crisis clinician for Wheeler Clinic. Throughout all of Alexandra’s experiences her passion for working with children and their families grew stronger and that’s when she decided to join the team at Pinnacle Behavioral Health to continue making a difference in the lives of adolescents and their families.
